What an Arizona kitchen remodel really takes.
Choose the level of remodel you have in mind to see a typical budget, what's included, and how long it takes from the first meeting to the first meal.
- Painted or refaced cabinets, new hardware
- Quartz countertops
- New tile backsplash
- Sink, faucet & fixture upgrades
- LED lighting updates · same layout
About 9 weeks, end to end
A refresh keeps your layout, so most work is cosmetic and permits are minimal or not needed.
- New semi-custom cabinetry
- Quartz or quartzite countertops
- Full-height backsplash
- New appliance package
- Recessed & under-cabinet lighting, new flooring
About 18 weeks, end to end
Cabinet manufacturing takes six to eight weeks and usually sets the schedule. We run permits in parallel so your kitchen stays usable until cabinets arrive.
- Custom cabinetry to the ceiling
- New layout, walls opened or removed
- Statement island with seating
- Relocated plumbing & gas
- Pro-grade, panel-ready appliances
About 23 weeks, end to end
Moving walls or plumbing adds structural review to the permit, so we finalize engineering during design to keep plan review from slowing things down.

Materials that hold up to the desert.
Heat, intense UV, and some of the hardest water in the country change which finishes last. These are the ones we recommend most.
Non-porous and easy to keep free of hard-water spots. Our most-requested surface for family kitchens.
Natural stone with the look of marble and far better heat and scratch resistance. Sealed once a year.
Won't fade in UV and handles hot pans, so it's ideal near west-facing windows and indoor-outdoor kitchens.
Heat-tolerant and durable at a lower price, with a wide range of natural patterns.
Timeless and versatile, with factory finishes that resist the dry-air cracking common in the Valley.
Warm, straight grain for modern and transitional kitchens. Built to your exact dimensions.
Clean, handle-free fronts that suit panel-ready appliances.
Easy to clean and nearly endless in style, from slim subway to large format.
Handmade tile with natural variation that warms up clean-lined cabinetry.
Continuous stone with no grout lines, so there are none to stain from hard water.

Kitchens our clients love coming home to.
They did a beautiful job remodeling our kitchen with new cabinets, countertops, floors, lighting, and paint. They helped us with the permits, inspections, and finding the right materials. Our project was smooth and importantly on budget!
These guys completely changed my entire kitchen, they used the best material and took care of every detail. We’ll be contacting them again for our bathrooms when we’re ready!
They handled everything from getting the permits to passing inspections, and all the coordination in between. The communication was always clear and consistent, which gave us a great sense of comfort.
Thank you Bayside for remodeling my kitchen! It’s something I had planned to do years ago and it’s finally a reality. I appreciate your patience and dedication to detail.
Kitchen remodeling questions.
Straight answers on cost, timelines, permits, and materials for your Arizona kitchen remodel.
An Arizona kitchen remodel typically runs $15,000 to $25,000 for a refresh, $30,000 to $50,000 for a full remodel, and $50,000 to $75,000 or more for a signature remodel with layout changes and custom cabinetry. Cabinets are usually the largest line item. Bayside gives you a fixed, itemized estimate before any demolition begins.
Construction typically takes 3 to 5 weeks for a refresh, 6 to 9 weeks for a full remodel, and 8 to 12 weeks when walls or plumbing move. Cabinet manufacturing at six to eight weeks usually sets the overall schedule, so plan on roughly 4 to 6 months from your first meeting to a finished kitchen.
Yes, if the work involves electrical, plumbing, gas, or structural changes, most Arizona cities, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Mesa, require a permit. Cosmetic updates like paint, hardware, and countertop swaps usually do not. Bayside pulls and manages every permit and inspection as part of your project.
Your kitchen stays fully usable while we finalize design, permits, and cabinet manufacturing. Once construction starts, we contain the work zone and help you plan a temporary kitchen setup so daily life keeps moving.
Engineered quartz is the most popular choice because it is non-porous and resists hard-water spotting. Quartzite offers natural stone beauty with excellent heat resistance, and porcelain slab will not fade in strong UV, which makes it ideal near west-facing windows or indoor-outdoor kitchens.
Yes. Non-load-bearing walls are a straightforward removal. Load-bearing walls require a structural engineer and a beam, which adds cost and permit review time. We confirm which walls can move during design, so there are no surprises once construction starts.
Kitchen remodels typically return 60 to 80% of their cost at resale, with minor refreshes recovering the most, and an updated kitchen is one of the first things Arizona buyers notice. In older Valley homes, a remodel also brings electrical and plumbing up to current code.
